Designing the EGFG holiday party flyer was crazy fun. I placed a hat on a hot dog. Now there’s a sentence I never thought I’d say. AND I made a Spanish version? Good times, good times.
New mission: Find this coffee. Photograph the shit out of that packaging hotness.
Chip Kidd: Designing books is no laughing matter. Ok, it is.
One of my favorite TED talks.
Hey graphic designers/gd majors.
Can you maybe give a little feedback to an animation major who’s making a mother’s day card?
This is a screencap of how it looks now in illustrator with the grid and rulers (No, I don’t have indesign- just illustrator and photoshop elements.).
This looks pretty solid! You go, animation major! I think I would change the underlined emphasis to very instead of nice. Side note, thank you for following “Oh, art kids..”!
sincerely, the design major.
“Saul Bass. Before I ever met him, before we worked together, he was a legend in my eyes. His designs, for film titles and company logos and record albums and posters, defined an era. In essence, they found and distilled the poetry of the modern, industrialized world. They gave us a series of crystallized images, expressions of who and where we were and of the future ahead of us. They were images you could dream on. They still are.”
Saul Bass. I love Saul Bass.

Designers, artists, good people: Read this.
Being an asshole artist is not ok. Rachel Semenov is my hero.
Ah, I love brown paper and garden sign design. I’ve been meaning to design some stuff for SoA Green even though people keep stealing the squash and squirrels ate all of the sunflower seeds. Assholes.
